I’m a mom, half-a^s blogger, photographer, short order cook, chauffeur and a few other things that I can’t remember at the moment.
After being diagnosed with Lupus in 2013 I hung my hat up as a Paramedic and spent the next five years focusing on my kids, while trying to figure out a way to pass the time..
In the summer of 2018 I had the idea to open an Etsy Shop and that is when Sarcastically Southern was "born." Initially I was uncertain of what I wanted to sell, but I knew there was a market for tumblers so that is what I focused on for a while. Although I thoroughly enjoyed making them myself, I soon found it difficult because of my lupus flares and realized I needed to make a shift. I stopped making tumblers and instead started offering glitter and rhinestones as well as artwork for others to make their own.
After a few years of steady growth on Etsy, it was time to up my game to a different level regarding the items I could offer my customers. I firmly believe that focusing on one thing at a time and perfecting a skill before moving to the next has been the best way for me to branch out so when the opportunity to expand my business arose in December 2021, I took it. My first laser machine arrived in March 2022 and I’ve since dedicated time to designs intended for wood products as well as journals and keychains. I take great pride in the work that I do, and that is reflected in each piece that I send out.
